Thank YOU for making it a great day for our staff! We always gain so much valuable knowledge and applicable skills when you are with us. We greatly appreciate you and the work with our new teachers, CCS, and administrators.
Thank you for the two sessions and the information shared. I went by and visited with our new teachers and they are already using the strategies and classroom management suggestions you gave yesterday. Thank you for making an immediate difference. Our new CCS’s were so appreciative of the time you spent with them and your “coaching of our coaches”.

I wish you could've been a fly on the wall today. it was just wonderful. Faster working kids got the benefit of being a mentor, and got to go around the room and help others, then fill out a mentorship reward ticket for a little bit of bonus. Then I allowed teams of four to self-pace, with the benefit of getting to go outside for a few minutes of free time at the end of the period if they finish all their work early. Also, the lead group (first place team) got to do a little extra work near the end of the period, and they will stand up and be guest teachers next week, again for a little bit of bonus.
It was such a positive environment of kids helping kids, and motivating each other. This idea of benefits first, consequences only when absolutely needed, is a game changer.
Thanks you for enlightening me with this idea. Todd Linke, Science Teacher and 9th Grade Academy Team Lead Mount Miguel High School, Grossmont Union High School District, La Mesa, CA September 7, 2017
I thoroughly enjoyed both of your classes and can't wait to implement the strategies we all learned. Your presentation and
such have ignited a new excitement in teaching today's youth. Thank you, Janny Jarvis, Academy 20 SD in

I just wanted to share that I used two different levels of articles and a video today in my science class, on the same topic,
asteroids. The students had to answer the same questions. It was so great to watch the different groups with different
abilities be able to get the same information. It was awesome to watch the group that needed to watch the video get the
scientific information and then be able to share with the whole class the answer to questions that if they had been required
to read for the information would have been at a disadvantage. Thank you so much for all of the great ideas and
instructional strategies that I have learned from you over the years. I always come away with something that I immediately
take and use in my classroom.

Once again I would like to thank you for the tremendous presentations you provided for our teachers. You have been
the highlight of our two week summer academy. I have placed your documents on our password protected intranet site.
I know the teachers greatly appreciate the resources. Hope to see you again soon.
